WRP10 emblem --- Genuine Subaru

I had a few enquiries recently and have manged to find the source of the WRP emblems.

They come as a pair and cost a hefty A$200 and is not available through Subaru Parts Australia. Numbering will have to be specially etched.

Please PM me should you require as it has to be specially ordered.

Genuine huh? Any proof to that? Just so we know its not a $20 engraved one from a local sign shop?

1) First of all, I do not condone selling fake shit and I am financially sound to be able to carry and order genuine items for sale here in Australia
2) These are very hard items to get and I only posted it up as ppl have tried to get them here but it is not a Subaru item here.
3) These are not engraved. They are lasercut, which means that if you wanted to make one up, it will cost heaps more. Laser cutting requires a tedious computing process to replicate the same and with original sample or artwork.
4) All purchased parts will be receipted from my Japan office.
5) WRP10 badging was made for the Australian mkt only and these badges were commisioned to be cut in Japan only in limited pieces, where I have found out which factory was commisioned for Subaru Australia.

These items are on request order only. I have a sample here taken back to Aust recently and will be glad if anyone who really needs one to be replaced, come down and see for yourself.

Not exactly proof of genuine but I believe you.

No longer necessary :)

Thanks Russ.

It might not be rocket science to the average sign shop dude, but everything is fussed about in Japan right down to the grade, texture and gauge of alli used. It is part of Japanese culture.

I was there looking at them cutting up plastic Nissan emblems to detailed Toyota hybrid energy logos. The IT department alone filled one whole floor up.

It is this attention to detail and their discipline towards perfection that sets Jap parts apart from the rest in the industry.

Are there copyright issue's with using the Pirelli logo, and the WRP10 logo? I'm sure Subaru would have had permission from Pirelli, and Subaru Australia would have some sort of ownership of the WRP10 logo

They may be made by the same company, but, technically, they are a limited edition so they should not be allowed to reproduce it without permission from both companies.
Just saying

no doubt these badges have been produced under license right ?

MY99GT 11-08-2011 08:52 PM

TBH its not like there is going to be a huge market for these.. there were only 200 produced, and at least 25% of them would have been smashed by now.. then how many of the remaining are going to be members here? and how many of them will need a replacement plate?

Not really that big of an issue i wouldn't think.

Doesnt make sense to me? If its a limited edition model how can the badges just be bought & numbered easily?
