CS Short Shifter for Subaru GD/GR/BL/BP

Hi P.WRX,

I had been searching for a quality shoft shifter for a long time since the closure of C's Japan a number of years back. It was difficult for C's back then to just sell short shifters and shoft knobs, while everybody else was copying their products and making cheaper versions of them.

I happened to find the manufacturer for C's while I was there and the factory owners are manufacturing now for the JDM market, branding them as CS.

The first sets will arrive in 10days time and I will post the relevant pics and details up. This is a proper shortshifter kit with everything included and not a piece of metal to change angles.

Below is the new CS-Japan short shifter kit fully developed and manufactured in Japan. P.WRX Price is $270

For those mecahnically inclined, below are some pics provided by CS-Japan on how detailed and precise a short-shifter should be:

Nice. That fitted price or just for the kit itself?

tris7an 17-03-2012 03:20 PM

is the actual height from console to the shift nob shortened or is it just a shorter throw between shifts?

Mister Two 17-03-2012 03:47 PM

Thats pretty fucking good value. Shifter, Rod, full bushing/bearing kit. Non bad.

b32: Kit price only. Labor is $50 for fitting.

tris7an: Height from console to shift knob is kept the same.

Do these things actually make a difference? Never had a short shifter before...

The CS Kit has been tested at the TC2000 championships. It just reduces reaction time.

IMO, a lot of the cheap kits out there make the shifting stiffer and less precise, which actually makes things worse.

Do you sell just the bushings?

mao 19-03-2012 05:21 PM

The shifter rod might be different, but will take some pics and measurements to see if the bearings are the same size, once we install it in Juls' STi.
