It is common for higher temp pads to do this as they cater for street to track performance. You will realise that they don't squeel if you brake hard but squeel when you do light braking especially slowing down at the lights. Correct me if I am wrong.

Try doing this, might help:

Accelerate to 40km/hr, brake hard to 20km/hr.
Then drive at 40km/hr for a minute to cool brakes.

Then repeat to 60km/hr and slow down to 40km/hr and then drive at 60km/hr to cool brakes for a minute.

Repeat this to 80km/hr.

After that, reverse back to 60km/hr slow down to 40km/hr and finally down to 40km/hr to 20km/hr.

EDIT: did they apply 'brake quiet liquid' to stick the shims to the pads when the shims were installed?

Cheers.

You are right, they are worst when coming up to 'red' traffic lights.

The Project Mu shims had a layer of very sticky stuff to attach to the back of the pad, like a double sided tape!!

cheers

Lol. Using some brake quiet fluid would have been best.
