Evolution R will be stocking the Walbro 255L/hr Fuel pumps in a week's time. I had the previledge to meet some Walbro executives during last weekend's Formula Drift 2012 -- Singapore Leg and have spoken about Walbro pumps sold at 'too good to be true' prices.

The info given to me was that the cheaper fake Chinese pumps start failing at 3bar of fuel pressure causing less power on a tune, detonation and prolonged engine damage. The engine will detonate at higher boost pressures and I have already experienced this with recent Vi-pec and Open soruce tunes.

Anyhow, I will be stocking the Walbro pumps and be given a legal document in the form of a 'Certificate of Origin'. If your vendor does not have this certificate of origin, chances are that you have purchased a Chinese pump.

For the GCs, the Walbro 55 pump is $200. We get these from Walbro Australia.
