How exactly are you taking orders?

Deposit needed?
Refund if plan/costs are not acceptable when details released?
Pickup at a shop or postage?
etc etc

Just throwing this out there so everyone is informed.

Optus are taking a $100 Deposit. They will also Credit you back the $100 if you dont like the Cost/Plan that they offer.

Basically your name will be put at Vodafone Floreat's Iphone waiting list. The sooner you put your order in the quicker you get the iphone (prioritise). No postage etc, just come down to our shop. No deposits. Once iphone arrives i'll give you a call.

Because our store is one of the quieter Vodafone stores you'll have more luck getting the iphone as the list won't be as long as other Vodafone stores.

Hey mate just have a few questions.

Will the iphones be locked to the Vodafone network?

And can we purchase the iphone outright with no contract? If so, what price are we looking at? Thanks.

SpitShine 10-06-2008 07:42 PM

yes i heard the iphones will be locked to the Vodafone network, however you can still unlock them over the net which is much cheaper. Like any phone you will be able to purchase them outright. Price-wise i couldn't honestly give you an exact price as Vodafone hasn't negotiated a price, although i believe it will be somewhere around the $500-$600 mark

Curious to this unlocking over the net.

The current 'hacks' to unlock the iPhones v1 will not work on the iPhone 3G. Just a point for people to consider.

vodafone.com.au/unlock I believe.
