Before you go with big $$$ genuine leather, weigh up your options and have a read here: http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/...ad.php?t=44746 .

I'm pretty impressed with this stuff (leatherette) to the point that we will be going with it on the GB for a full set of seats.

You may wanna contact the guy (Max) and ask if he can do WRX etc...

Have you seen this stuff? How does it compare to Leather from appearance and feel?

From what I've been told, it takes a trained eye to tell the difference between it and real leather, and feels like real leather.

Quote: "Leatherette is not comparable to cheaper Vinyl products on the market which are of a plastic like appearance & do not offer the same durability. I use the best quality of Leatherette available on the market, which is Nylex and imported from Germany" End quote.

Some pix here...

And $495 for a full set of seats (unfitted) seems pretty reasonable.

i worked in leather furniture industry for few years. leatherette is good for the pocket but leather is good for the quality. if he is using industrial vinyl (letherette) than it should be strong, also depending on the stiching as well but will have to watch it in summer if car is parked on the sun non stop and u dont look after it it will fade. looks of it is almost 100% the leatherette is alot thinner than leather.
