Windows 7 permissions issue
Hi guys, hopefully this is an easy one, basically I have very basic rights on my Windows 7 PC. I can't access documents and settings as it says I don't have permissions. I belong to the administrators group. I then checked permissions for that folder and the administrator account doesn't have access. So noone has access! How can I change this?

have you turned off UAC?

oh wait...silly me. In Vista/7 "Documents and Settings" is now called "Users" . Only in Windows XP is "Documents and Settings" valid.
so go to the "Users" folder and then find your username :) |
