Converting PS3 to region free (Blueray)
 

I've scoured the net without success, anyone know of any hacks to allow an AU PS3 machine to play USA blueray movies?

Nothing that I am aware of yet...

I've heard a while ago blueray was cracked but no chips available on ps3 as far as i know

haven't heard anything.... don't think its possible yet :(

Which ps3 have you got? I've always been able to play blu-rays from anywhere on mine but mine is one of the original 60gb ones (with all the fruit they then took out to get the price down).

What error message do you get or does it just not play?

Have you actually tried a region A blu-ray? I've got one of the original PS3's also and have an opportunity to buy a blu-ray Box set really cheap off a mate but it's region A so told him i'm not interested.

I think it's a 60gb

It comes up with this disk is region A - eject and play on a region A machine (or something to that effect)
