yep definitely, it's more balanced! alot of fun with wager match as well.

i prefer MW2, you should prob rent it out first because alot of ppl i have spoken to prefer BO

Try playing campaign in veteran mode mate, there's so much in game lag with all the flying bullets its like playing CS:S with 500ping =/

If you didn't know, the lag is related to your friends list. Apparantly its due to all the tracking data of you and all your friends at the same time. If you have an account with no friends you will experience no lag. They will be fixing this issue soon so I'm informed. This game is slowly growing on me, once you get passed the little annoying things and start to understand it. Much better than MW2.

So far its COD4 > Black Ops > WaW > MW2

Never, MW2 was the most unbalanced, noob friendly piece of shit online game I've seen in a while. They thought people loved cod4 due to the customisation they offered so they just pumped as much random shit as they could into MW2 hoping everyone would love it. It was actually the even balance that cod4 had which is why it remains the most played online game ever on ps3/360. Black ops is essentially what MW2 should have been, its a more refined and balanced version. eg - taken out unfair perks (stopping power, jugga etc), the rediculous killstreaks (better than MW2's anyway), zombies, slightly better maps just to name a few. I know it has its problems such as lag (MW2 had this on release too), spawns, kniving and some connection issues but these will most likely all be patched soon enough.
