PC audio Advice
I currently have a set of those Logitech z-5500 Speakers they absolutely Rock ... Best band for buck speaker set you can buy.
http://www.dove.co.nz/assets/images/product/5611-561677.jpg However I currently run from the Optical output on my mother board. What my question is, would upgrading my sound card have any increased quality on my sound ? My thought is it wont as I am already using optical out which is quality ? or is there a difference. Flac and Dts sounds great. i have no idea when it comes to this stuff. Just wondering if I am possibly cutting my self short by using the on board optical output ? I also notice a lot of big sound cards don't have optical out? i thought the digital rca plug is old tech >? |

I am a fan of the ASUS STX's for headphones but I am thinking of getting the Auzen Forte's as I will be getting a new speaker set up in my office. |

DO NOT GET CREATIVE!!!
I wont go in depth - but ive supported Creative for over 10 years, every revision gets worse and worse. Treat yourself and get an AuzenTech 7.1 Theater Card with Optical. AuzenTech use the same XFi chips that Creative produce, but they do not have anywhere near the amount of software/driver hassles! |
which card
Auzentech, Inc. Sound Cards. Audio You Can Believe In. World First soundcards for Music, HTPC, and Gaming. the first two neither have optical out. |
