Hmm, driving a WRX obviously label's the driver a hoon. You damn WRX drivers and your damn loud exhausts. I love it when cops are so side tracked by what that WRX driver is going to do/or how loud is the exhaust, you have blatent idiots get away with doing stupid (illegal) shit.

I had someone (rear passenger) pointing a laser at me one day when I was driving, so i sped up (not above the speed limit, just accelerated faster than them) and overtook them on the left hand side, and I was the one that got pulled over. When I explained that they were shining a laser in my eye, they said "oh well there was no need to do what you did, you should have just slowed down or pulled over or taken the next turn".

Taking the next turn wouldn't have got me to my house would it...

I am tempted to leave my video carmera in the car all the time.
Would have caught a marked unit failing to stop at a stop sign
and then speeding the other day. No lights, no siren...

Yet another fine example.

Sorry for the thread hijack but where do you buy one of those video camera mounts? I know Manfrotto make a suction cap one but how about the one that hangs down in the centre of the seats and I think connects to the jesus handles?

I guess it wouldn't be too hard to make one but it would be much easier just buying one

hey, were paid to enforce the law not follow it :P

what if they had have been responding to a suicide call, they arn't going to use lights and sirens cause it makes the person more worked up.

but still they should follow the rules if they are on there way to miccy D's.

Yes they are. NO emergency vehicle can break the law without
having lights and/or siren going. There are exceptions, but that
is generally when there is no lights/siren installed.

Either puts the lights on, OR don't break the law. Simple.
There is NO excuse on a marked unit.

I got pinged doing 35 over on a country road this weekend...
Before that i had 10 of my 12 demerits intact...Now i have none and am prolly losing my licence...

I had no idea it was double demerits this weekend or else i would never have been going that speed. I dont watch much tv and the only radio station i listen to is tripple J so i never heard a thing. People have been tellin me that _every_ long weekend is double demerits...I guess i just dont pay enough attention.

This was the first time i had driven a long haul on a country road and I basically jus wanted to get home so i was sitting on about 140 most the way...safe in the knowledge i had 10 demerits...I guess i was going downhill or some shit when they pinged me...
Life sucks
