did i read this right, do they presume the sti will have more horses than the evo?
Horsepower est 320 bhp @ 6000 rpm Torque 320 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm |
only figure im interested in now is the bottom line.
Especially after the official press release that went out saying its going to be under $100,000, tis got me a bit worried. |

Intelligent mode is programmed for everyday commuting, while Sport Sharp is intended for sessions under the red mist, with super-quick throttle response and faster power delivery to the four wheels. Meh...novelty...before long it will remain in the latter of the 3 modes. :D |

That looks pretty nice actually. Kinda resembles a BMW 1 series to me though.
Evo's wing doesn't look all that nice next to the sti. |
Horsepower
est 320 bhp @ 6000 rpm Torque 320 lb-ft @ 4000 rpm
Yep 238kW and about 435Nm of Torque down low. Thats 32kW & 40Nm more than the current WRX STI. So yeah 0-100kph in 4.5sec is gonna be quick. Would love to take one for a test drive when there available. |
If Subaru 'ever' make the new STi into a 4 door sedan, I'm taking out a 2nd mortgage to upgrade!

But remember the numbers Suby put out on the stock vehicle are at the flywheel! Mine even with tune is nowhere close to the 206 kw they advertise |

I guess you mean at the engine? Every car company gives an engine power/torque figure rather than an at the wheel figure, since it is a much higher value. |
