Drive an Evo and you will know.
Ok, I know that wasn't very helpful.

Hey, don't be a copycat!!
Let's just say after driving my bro's Evo IX, my VF35/top mount feels laggy.

Yes, full boost very early, and almost zero lag. You could be cruising along at 100km/h in 6th, plant your foot and have full boost by the time you hit 110. It really is quite amazing. If your chasing outright power you'll still need a big turbo, but for a street driven car I think you would be hard pressed to find something more drivable than twin scroll. Good for motorkhana style work too.
