Default Melville Subaru Service Department - Are they good ?

Just trying to find out if Subaru in Melville are good at servicing WRXs ?

Let me know your experiences with them, whether it be good or bad.

I've always been really happy with Melville Subaru.

Wally at the desk is very nice to have a chat with, Eddy in the workshop has always gone out of his way to diagnose problems for me.

I'm with the big fella, Wally is a champ, never had any grief and sorted out a few wee hassels for free and without an appointment on various occasions.

I get all my Subaru's serviced their for the past 4 years, Wally and Steve will look after you, they serviced my WRX and it was done really well and I never ever got over charged. The quality of the work is really good. I wouldn't ever go to Osborne Park and even worse never step into City Subaru in my opinion.

sorry but I dont have such a good impression of Melville.
I had a problem with a screeching noise at full lock. Melville said it was 'normal' and not to turn the steering to full lock WTF? Went to City Subaru and I got a new power steering pump no hassles under warranty...
also Melville attempt to slug you an extra $20 just to rotate the wheels. Don't they have to take off the wheels off to check the brakes as part of the service anyway?

hey guys, this is related to Azzuri's question of are Melville any good..
Best to post this related question here than make another thread and get flammed.

I am having my first service in a couple of weeks. it's an '00 car but the first time I need to have it serviced since I've had it in my posession. Can people recomment Melville as a good goer or are your experienced third party places cheeper yes just as reliable? (i understand a subaru centre does only subarus but many other places also do a great deal of professional work on them).
Cheers for responses.

Melville Subaru are good for a service, but somewhere like ASG, RMS, MMS will probably do it cheaper and better. Worth the time to call around and check.
