I just signed up to read some of their posts and that.

Looks like a bunch of 14-16 year olds who have made a game out of hacking forums. haha.

Looks like they really screwed up one site.. guess we are lucky they didn't deface perth-wrx.

It could have been much worse, now lets wait for all of these buy viagra and such emails, now they probably just listed every single one of us to these mass mailer sites.

they say that they just want to get members and raise awareness of the site, maybe we wont get mass spam

From all the people that have been on here that work at computer places and are in IT etc........surely theres someone out there that can sort these people out?

PS: what the hell are half them saying on that forum?? lol

i beleive theyve only rehacked the old site. all appears well with this board.

It's the old forums which I hosted at the company I worked for previously. The site is still there, just no used.. Not my problem as I don't work there any longer :)

but it's our problem cause all our email addresses live there on an unused, unpatched, exploitable forum...

The admins of the current forum, were the admins of the existing one. Perhaps it's worth e-mailing them?

try software that show you how many times u get haxed and u'll be suprised

on a daily basis i deal with shortsighted attitudes like yours regarding this topic.

i dont hold any great value in the privacy of my forum email address - but it dosn't mean i would happily and freely advertise it to the worlds "l33t h4x0rs".
if a privacy threat (a very mild one, but an entirely un-necessary threat nonetheless) can be quickly and simply prevented, why not act on it?

turn off your firewall and antivirus - be exploited through every digital oriface, and tell me (between your sulking) "it's just the way of the internet" and was totally "unpreventable". :rolleyes:
