hi all

its weird but happened to me twice, I was filling up at bp on leach hwy melville and my car would not start or even lock doors nothing. strangely enough there was a car in front of me who just filled up and same problem.
that car was a bmw. Amazingly our cars both started 15 min later at the same time. Next time same thing not able to lock doors or start engine and once again car next to me same problem. this time car was a forrester.
wtf , any ideas!!

Any major sources of electro magnetic radiation nearby.

Tv Transmition towers, mobile towers, sattelite dishes, The really big powerlines????

anyway as for ur answer, i got nothing.

was it because you couldnt start it? or because the immboliser wont disengage?

Could be some punks playing with a radio jammer or some major interference so your immobiliser remote cant communicate with your immobiliser control unit.

I got nothing else.

that bowser is haunted!!

Story goes that in the early days, there was a petrol station their and a family with 8 kids in the back of a ute filled up a tank there. the line they used had a leak in it which sprayed alot of fuel on the ground, when the dad tried to start the motor a random spark from under the car lit the fumes and the whole family burnt to death.
now the mother supposedly lives on and tries to stop anyone from starting their engines to prevent the same thing from happening again...

Also same thing happened to me over 1 month ago.

Only took 5min and it got going again.

Couldnt unlock the car with the remote, only with the key.

Radio interference, you may have to push the car out of a certain area of resonance (I know how embarrasing it may be) but perhaps a few metres would be enough to get you out of the amplified spot and you're car will work again.

Maybe the cops should use this "technology" to catch WRX theives in car chases, or even speeding....errr forget I mentioned that last bit.
