You're welcome to have a sit in it if you're ever at an upcoming IWRXOC event/meeting or the WRX vs EVO day.

Yeah if I don't see you in the mean time, let me know how it is around Collie. I found my head was bracing the roof

Anyone know if these low rails are available in Australia, or only from Japan?

Stace,

Ive got Andrews (AIG) lowered seat rail but its bolted to a GD STi seat. There is a noticeable drop when installed into a GC8.. I assume the rail can be bolted into GC8 seat with no problems? You're welcome to try it out!

Thread revival mark 2...

Any of the Aussie vendors stock/can get these? Shipping is making me cry.

Also does anyone know if the GRB version fits the 'lounge chair' non-recaro GRB seats? HKS Kansai site mentions they only fit the Recaro seats. Unsure what bolting difference there would be...

Thread Revival.

Does anyone know how this went with a helmet on ?

Currently my head just hits the roof but i am planning on some track days and am sure i will not fit when i put a helmet on.

As Kato said anyone is Aus stock these ? If not how long does it usually take to get things from japanparts as i wouldn't mind getting this sorted before the rac day.

Any help would be appreciated.

As above, also interested in lowering both seats, but don't have the spare coin for race seats atm.

This may work out better if we can just change the mounting arrangement, or is it that the seat base is the limiting factor?

Japanparts are generally pretty prompt...assuming the part is in stock.

The low rail is a good alternative if $ are too tight for a race seat. It's basically the whole base that you get....ask Andrew (Graham) Tim as he had one...
