ummm i think a good boost level is about 22psi for a VF34 which is about 1.5bar. LIke everything, the harder you push it the less its life expectency is. Not only that, you are still running (not sure about deck, open like a GC8?) a 2ltr EJ205 therefore pushing it too far beyond 200kw will most likley see a big end bearing going eventually.

If it is open deck, would the bores be more inclined to warp as they are less secure then the EJ207/EJ257? <- Question for the tech heads

Best bet is ask the guys that are doing low 12's on a 2lt wrx block consistently what mod's they are running and what they spent.

Don't expect to get out of it any cheaper and don't expect to be as consistently as fast as someone with a number of runs under the belt. It does take more skill than you think to get a launch and 3 gear changes spot on. Every little mistake is a couple of tenths.

Also budget for repairs. Every pass gets you a pass closer to breaking something!!!

Specially when testers have been doing burnouts all day at the plex and you decide to 6k sidestep launch....bog down, gear snapping clunk of tearful agony ;p

Can be done, you already have the breathing mods in place.

Sti tmic or aftermarket alternative $300 - $900
VF series turbo, if your chasing 1/4 times, go a VF34 @ 1.5bar $1500
Verso tune $1000
fuel pump and be prepared to launch hard. $400

prices should include fitting.

You should be able to stretch the injectors, if not some decap them and you'll be fine.

Now you'll break 12's with those mods, doing consistent low 12's probably not, you'll kill the clutch to do it, BUT its 'possible', just don't be scared to launch

I you want advice go and spend money GETTING to this setup. Tune, Fuel pump, Turbo (TD06). Not sure what a wrx would run with this setup plus your excisting mods but 12's would be on the cards.
Remember he has a standard 205, not to sure how happy it would be with a td06 on there?

Yeah and when the candy breaks, it costs lost to fix the candy.....or better yet, re-wrap the candy and attempt to sell it to an unsuspecting school yard chump.....
