22b Colours
So according to Speed magazine Issue 8.
"Most of the 22b's were wrc blue, while there were a few white ones made and even a gunmetal grey" Anyone else heard of this? I'll scan in the article later. |
I always thought the 22b was only available in WRC Blue

apparently one was gunmetal grey.
|
I've always heard the 22B was exclusively WRC blue.....while the normal coupe came in WRC blue and white.
|
I've never heard of a stock standard white or grey 22B.
I can't imagine anything other than white truly doing justice to the lines of the car and the heritage that 22B's symbolise. I could be wrong of course. |
All 22B's are WRC Blue paint code 74F... They were never painted white!!
There was some 2 door World Rally Cars painted white for competition but thats as close as Subaru got with painting any wide body 2 doors white... There was a Type R and RA 2 door that was painted white but it didn't have the wide arches but it had the 22B style front nostrils on the bonnet. I believe the article is calling the 99 STi 2 door a 22B, as they were available in Blue, White , Grey and Yellow off the Subaru Floor but only available in Blue and White in Australia. |
Nah, article is specifically referring to the 22b.
|
article could be on crack. the guy who wrote it probably wsaw a rally once with a grey S5
|
thats the possibility. cant just trust one source.
