22B on the Freo docks
 

A friend of mine spied a 22B on the docks last week.
Does this belong to anyone from here.

its a b-reg out of japan with about 50.000kms, belongs to a gentlemen who has just built a full tarmac rally car destined for targa tassie.

makes that about 5 22b's in perth on my count including the one purchased from unique cars, a-reg, to another gentlemen from bunbury.

nice toy to own but people are getting carried away with the inflated buyers market and personally better/rarer subaru's out there including motorsport specials for much less money.

and considering they are paying under $32k for them at japan auctions ( there were 3 last week grade 3-4.5 / 5 all that went in the 25-32k ) and then asking 70k+ for race/rally import its crazy

oh well if there is a market of suckers why not milk them ? :)

So how much would it cost all up to buy one in Japan and get it imported to Oz & roadworthy?

a lot better cars out there for the money some ppl are paying for these models, even if it'd be nice to own one, id rather get something else

each to there own really. i've had the honour of owning 1 and its nothing like a normal 1 that for sure. i think if you can get 1 and in good condition. then its not a bad thing. they are an awesome car.......

Something is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, agreed, also of course whatever someone is willing to sell it for.

why get a 22b when you can get a litchfield 25 for similair money.....

because we cant?
