Just got my grey 08 sti spec RRRRRRRRRRRR
 

Hello all

Just picked up my grey 08 sti spec r. wicked !!!
Will post some picks as soon as i stop driving and playing with it.
My wife wants to leave me coz of this car. I love them both?!!!
Things I like:
1. Killer acceleration of the line.
2. recaros are snug.
3. The harder you drive it the better it handles.

Things I like less:
1. small dccd lcd
2. to many dccd,+, -, vcd, traction control, i, s, s# combos?!?!
would you like fries with that order!!! one red "fast button" will suffice!!!!!!
3. not much else.

I love this car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have u driven a pre ugly betty STi? If so how do they compare? Is there much difference?

As mentioned above...he used to own an 07 STi, so I'm sure he can compare :)

Yes i did own a 07 sti with ecutek and tbe with 202 kw atw but theres something with this new sti. its the fact that its easier to drive fast and I think that the new rear suspension has something to to with it. It also just launches
so cleanly and the acceleration is not unlike my old bombed sti. Yes the interior is plasticy but it ten times better than the old one and looks up to date.
Overall its a polished piece of machinery and a credit to subaru.
The STI has grown up!!!!

Easy to drive fast I can attest to - had my photo taken 1 week after purchased mine (didnt even realise I was 15k over until the flash) :(

First photo in 5 years as normally stay vigilant if on the "high side" of the posted limit.

Nice work mate!!! What rim package did you get with it...is it the 18" (BBS?)?

Pics would be nice as soon as you get a chance :D

The r spec gets the bbs wheels :)


my std spec 08 sti gets the normal 18's and the "fat american" seats :D thats te only difference between the two :)

(i couldnt justify the extra 5k for wheels and seats, i prefer the look of the std wheels, and although i loved the r spec seats, i drive my car everday and i think for everyday use they would get uncomfortable fast...)

sweeett!... oh and why the colour grey may i ask... i've always seen it as a dull colour on a car...?

I was just at Subaru getting a warranty claim on my squeaky seat and saw a spec R STi. They're fantastic in the flesh.

Also saw the new Tuned by STi Liberty, noice.

An awesome ride mate. Enjoy it!!

Nice work Sarpia, first thing you do is zorst imo. I test drove the r spec back in dec and the thing that really got me was how quiet the car was even on boost. If I was ever in the market for a hatchback then I would def consider but imo it just looks so bland and yes dare I say Mazda 3 like. Great package none the less and the r spec is the only sti to buy imo.

this has got to be the best ass in town. its "FAT"!!!!!

sorry guys my wife posted the above as she thinks I love my sti more than her!!!

apart from those hideous lights, it is a nice arse.

time to darken the tail lights
