Car Freight

Hey guys,

Looking at possibly buying a car in NSW, and trying to figure out the total cost and whats involved.

Airfare would be about $500.00 return. What else is involved? The actual cost of shipping the car, insurance, registering it in WA etc...

Thanks in advance.

:)

Cost me about a grand to get my evo to perth from Victoria via TNT.

does that include insurance?

Cost me $900 to get my prelude from VIC to WA. They got me to look over the car after it was off of the train and I didnt realised that they had damaged the electric aerial until days later so they wouldn't pay for it. I wasn't particularly worried about insurance at the time for the old prelude but I do remember that it came with something for that price.

My partner got quoted $600 with TNT From Perth to Melbourne by train. I assume this would be classed as a back load hence the lower price.

I got quoted $420 by TNT perth-melb but i dont know if it's by train or else. which is better company or way to freight the car interstate btw? my mate ship almost new sti before from vic and they damage the front bumper. tnt insurance won't cover them

Thanks guys,

So if I budget $1200 for the whole deal that would be about right?

Just paid $300 to have it trucked from Broome to Perth with Broome Freightlines.

Try and find a mate in the business, makes a hell of a difference, and they may even make a concious effort to not f&%k your car up on the way...

Subaru00 26-10-2005 08:01 PM

yes $1200 will cover it.
just make sure u stand there with them while the do a inspection before it goes on the truck and when it comes to the depo in Perth.

dont let them miss anything
