Default I actually do love brant!!

i never thought id say this, but for once i am very thankful for my car having brant...

some time between 4.40 and 5.30 (between one housemate leaving home and another arriving) some bastards broke into my house. found my spare key - and tried to steal my car. only to find that i dont leave it in valet mode. silly buggers even tried to guess the code. i now have to get a subaru guy to come unlock it because they punched the wrong code in 3 times - something im not complaining about.

i have gone about secret ways of securing my stereo gear, but since they didn't even bother with it im assuming they had done a stake out to know how much time they had. obviously not long enough to bother.

since they couldn't get the car, they went back inside, took my xbox 360, housemates laptop, and a couple of other little things. which were found on the side of the road about 50m away.

so for the first time since i'v had this car, im actually thankful to brant.

Sorry to hear about the break in, but it's good to know that the Brant system did the job!

Good stuff!

Next time someone complains about the 3 seconds they need to punch in the code, we can now point them to this thread.

Hopefully the low life criminals get what's coming to them soon.

yeah mate pin security is good to have. i ripped by brant out and put a different brand alarm in with its own keypad which is actually more than 4 digit number but its good knowing its safe.

For that extra comfort though get ezitrak, car would have phoned and smsed you as soon as they open the doors. then you could have done somthing if close to home.
also will tell you if car is being towed away etc etc plus many more things.

Good to hear it didnt become the latest high speed chase .

wasn't at home or id probably be in court right now for attempted murder.

Im hitting the real estate up for a house alarm but i doubt we'll hear anything. haven't even fixed the hot water system from 2 years ago and still no smoke alarms. makes it hard to believe they're upping the rent.

can ezitrack be set up to send messages to 2 mobiles?? i dont get phone reception when im at work...
