so the 08 is only just catching the MY99 in 1/4 mile times? shows the old power to weight ratio coming into play.tis a pity there is no accurate test of each yera in lap times, the chassis differences are pretty huge

aus cars are offseting the torque with a 2.5 litre.

hp per litre, the non-jdm cars are down.

Kg / KW Comparison:
6.81 -- STI 08
7.15 -- WRX 09 Sedan
7.26 -- STI 06/07
7.54 -- STI 02-->05

353NM@4000 - STI 99/00
343NM@4000 - STI 02-->05
343NM@4000 - WRX 09 Sedan

206KW - STI 99/00 + STI 06/07
195KW - STI 02-->05
195KW - WRX 09 Sedan

Seems Subaru have finally woken up to themselves with the release of the 09 WRX Sedan.
Its interesting to note that the 09 WRX now has identical power and torque figures to that of the EJ207 02-->05 STi but carries 75 Kg less weight and has dual AVCS for a better torque spread.

09 WRX will be good Bang for the Buck again me-thinks!!!!
