Default MY98 Fuel light?

Anyone know if the MY98 had a fuel light?
Havent run my car low enough yet to see if it works, if it does have one. Got a bit under 1/4 of a tank left and have done 400ish ks since filling it.

On the dash...

It needs to reach below the 'E' before it comes on (really f'king low)...unlike a lot of newer cars which get to only 1/8 empty when the light comes on.

Chuck a jerry can in the boot and find out ( Just to state the obvious make sure it has fuel in it!!! ).

Mine I used to get a bit over 500km out of a country run and a bit over 400 sensible city driving before seeing it but it was fairly low before it would come on.

You can safely put in 53 liters but I'm not sure how far you can go after that.

If you fill up and add 10 km for every liter below 53 you will be pretty accurate with how much further you can go. Think my fuel light used to come on at 49-50 liters.

I did 632kl in mine before I put 56.4L in it the other day (shitting myself lol) after a trip down south but around town my fuel light comes on at around 470kl with 9 litres left in the tank.
Did you put the 60L tank in or did you leave the 50L in it?

Gee thats pretty good.. I thought you would be lucky to get 30kms once the light comes on, sensible driving of course??

With my '00 model, have had it very close to being on the empty and still no light.

I swapped out the tank as my car was FWD. Not sure the capacity of the one in it atm.
