Seeing as we get the US spec engines, I'm assuming US spec power output will follow.

We get South African spec subarus! Don't forget Subaru of America build their own cars to their own specification. I hope we do get the upgrade tho, the current wrx is shit

Funny looking German Subaru

We are definitely getting upgrades, confirmed when I spoke to the dealer principle at Melville, who confirmed it with his State manager upon my questioning. They just don't know exact specs for the upgrades!

Even the new Subaru brochures with the MY09 sedan in it, have the specs listed for WRX as (MY08 model)....they're announcing the MY09 WRX specs later in the year.

I think this is because the WRX specs are always going to be a big publicity spinner for Subaru, especially so in the face of the impending Lancer Ralliart as its direct competition....everyone is waiting to see what they do!

Either way, I'm not fussed. New WRX was always on the cards, and the fact that we had to order an MY09 because there are no white MY08s available, is just a bonus

I still think Ralliart lancer will be much better car, if you really want to Mod it!

Some would say what we get in Australia IS actually an Impreza GT !(read lower spec that JDM WRX !)....

As far as the dealers having any insight or details on the new models before they get to there shows rooms.....no chance, not one clue at all, but they will nod reassuringly and smile

Subaru better do somthing to compete soon...I`m fckn sick of reading reviews where the 08 STI barely rates a mention and is virtually laughed at !

Nothing like the Kia rio, more like the 08 Toyota corolla.

Simillar shaped rear lights/rear bumper/body lines and wouldnt be suprised if it had the same designers as Toyota own alot of FHI now.
