Yep, and that firewall vin matches the pop riveted plate (obviously).

Just back to the original idea, there is no reason why i cant use a rear cut of a 2 door because they are identical cars (i was told by JWS) and there are no id tags for the rear of the car ( that are critical to licensing anyway)

On the other hand, I have found a ADM v5 sti complete good nick car but stat write off. Im fairly certain that stat write offs are only good for parts but no structual frame part etc?? it was a stolen recovered car in Sydney.

you would be correct there, stat write offs con not be registered, olny repairable write off which can be. its all here

Im thinking it was maybe paid out on insurance, and then found a lengthy period later, so they cancel the vin so no one can ghost cars etc. He wants to much for it though, 14k..

for a stat write off that is about $10k too much!!
