The pits

Hey guys im just wondering if anyone would be able to give me any information about talking my car over the pits ive got a subaru brumby and im just changing the engine still to a stock ea81 but in better condition just wondering what the people at the pits look for when u take your car over the pits? do they bother about pannel work like ive got a dent in the front right quater panel and the bullbar has been pushed in a lil bit and im buyingor borrowing a set of good tyres and making sure all the lights work and there are no oil leaks before i go what els should i be checking for?

cheerz heaps in advance. Damian

Noise, rattles, smooth gear shifts, seat belts are all in good nick, ALL interior and exterior lights are working, brake/coolant/oil levels are all in the correct range, whole car is clean and presentable (no maccas wrappers/napkins etc)

Oh and leaving a carton on the back seat does wonders LOL

dang i dont have a back seat what am i gona do!!!!

Haha oh yea!! It's a Brumby. Plenty of room on the passanger seat or under the tarp in the back ;)

Oh and any rust will be scrutinized too. Underside of the doors, A/B Pillar etc etc

recon they would look at the tailgate? it doesnt open without a smack :p

Is it currently licensed?
You no longer need to go over pits for an engine swap. Just fill in a form and its done. Costs nothing.

damo 25-11-2008 12:06 PM

nah its not licenced ay :( but i dont think there should be much trouble gettin it over not much rust only rust is like in the tailgate and that isnt much anyway just that dent in the front right quater pannel with the bullbar pushed into that pannel a bit that wouldnt matter that much would it?

LIBRT! 25-11-2008 12:22 PM

dents dont matter as long as they dont effect the cars driving.
