Licencing Dept

Hi,

I am considering buying this Liberty but i tried doing a REVS check online but it didn't work.

Does anyone on here work at a Licencing Dept that i can chat too?

When you say "it didn't work", does that mean the system was down, or that there was no record of the VIN? If it was the latter, it simply means the vehicle is unencumbered.

You need to pay the $10 or whatever to get the guarantee that the vehicle is not encumbered, also not sure if the DPI would be able to help as REVS is done thru DOCEP.

try calling them instead on 1300 30 40 24..

Basically I have all the details but i am not sure if i wrote the right number down for the engine number.

Sethor 06-01-2009 10:27 AM

You sure you typed it the correct way?

"How are Engine and VIN/Chassis numbers recorded on REVS?
REVS will replace the characters I (India), or O (Oscar) for engine and VIN/Chassis numbers with the numbers 1 or 0. This is done to prevent any misinterpretation caused by the two characters in vehicle engine and VIN/Chassis numbers."

just call them up. sometimes it doesnt work.

and they can tell you over the phone whether its got money owing on it or not. or you can pay money for a certificate.
