See the 3 ridges? Can sand/grind it down like in the link above or for a quick more temporary fix put some tape over the top ridge.

Did that on my old MY04, worked just fine for me and seemed to last.

I kinda just got used to it and never got round to fixing it! =)
But I had a close look and pretty much any method you choose to stop the belt from rubbing against the problem area would work (spray, dremel, tape etc).
