Your going to have issues with rego being that it is a 2.5 I dare say.
I paid just under $1100 with CEVA (TNT) and that was fully enclosed
and delivered straight to my door.

if you look straight down at the motor in the engine bay, it should say [EJ25] even a muppet could work that out.

deal with a vehicle broker, get them to do an independat vehicle inspection at a reputed subaru specialist workshop (unless the owner already can provide you with it) and if it all checks out, arrange transport through tnt. invest 1-2k and its peace of mind and heartache out of your life.

lol

back to topic.......

went to the dla the ej257 needs rego on it to drive it over and as long as the rego has the 2.5 engine declared its justa simple case of getting it over the pits within 3 months of coming back..

how ever if its not registered as a 2.5 and it has no engineers report i am stuffed it will need one

$1500 and i have to go perth for it and hope it gets one....

i haven't checked recently but thought it was quite easy to get a car that was previosly licenced with a 4cyl 2.0 litre turbo, licenced with a 4 cyl 2.5 litre turbo ? more a simple engine number change

i thought you only need an engineers cert if you go from say an n/a to turbo, or 4cyl to V6 etc..
