Look at the class displacement limit. 2.0 liters. Will probably be very competitive.
What is the class option for the 2.5. Probably 3 or more liters and likely not a chance of being competitive. Yes the 2.0 is probably better to go racing with but it will be more a choice of the most competitive class for the car.

no, the 2.5 is a bucket of shit. the JDM imprezas are all 2L, why would they bother with a 2.5l?

Wonder why they didnt go to a 3ltr instead of a 2.5? If they were shooting for more displacement that is.

using the same block design, i think 2.5 was the 'safest' they could increase it.
it becomes too hard when you have to redesign a completely new block etc. |

i was privy to following conversion about sti engineers over previous bathurst 12 hours confirming that the 2lt makes more power and torque than the 2.5lt

sorry, what i meant to say, it runs twin cylinders (front and rear) with the two reservoirs. pretty much a pedal box with in-car balance bar adjustment.

you will probably find that its in the 2.0L class so it competes with euro
sub 2.0L cars. And by default you have to have a 2.0l. I prefer 2.5l anyway more torque where you want. |
