S402 wagon . . . HOT!!!
I doubt any of these would actually make it to Aus. |
That's an S402. Unless you are suggesting the S402 is coming to australia badged as a Spec B R1?
|
its here according to
http://www.subaru.com.au/quicklinks/current-offers/?button=badge-home Yikes!? |
Subaru oz doesnt list anything about the STi goodies
coming on the car they have released. Only Ochre leather trim Black honeycomb grille Limited edition numbered badge Choice of sIx-speed manual or five-speed SPORTSHIFT1 automatic transmission Nothing like the S402!!!!!! |

All websites have been just using the s402 images.. the only real deal with the car is
- Leather seats (Ochre, JDM had these running few months ago) - Honey Comb grille - Unique Serial Other than that, it is just plain old Liberty GT with manual option |
Why the hell do they do that for the Australian market???
I'm sure there is / would be plenty of demand for the real deal here FFS! |
Probably just trying to move along the last few before the new model later this year.

welcome to subaru australia.
i blame owners though. trouble is, most people who buy subaru now are not interested in such type versions or rally specials. all they care about is that its got a rock solid build and realibility reputation. limited edition cars are proving harder and harder to sell, city subaru has TWO sti libs for sale at well under 10$k replacement cost but people still don't bite. the sheer volume of sales is in the plain jane impreza and libertors, not to mention the american'ised tribeca, wouldn't see many japanese with their short legs even being able to climb up inside them! if subaru aus pushed these specials, people would buy them, why was the 97-98 wrx marketted at such a younger audience, anyone recall the roadrunner and cayote ad from tv? SOLD. what got me was this pearler of the same period. "subaru owners name their cars" wrx comes up, muppet actor goes "i call my wrx raplh" you fuckin idiot! |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-llu-bMaY2o Vs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDQgBcqBPh4&feature=related Worlds apart! |
seen one or two around the place. sat in #20/50 @ city subaru. the quality of the leather, stiching and the new tuck n' roll on the doortrims looks (and feels) so noice! shame its not an s402 though

LOL that grill is so last year! Brown seats boy do I wish I had those
|
Not a big fan of Brown Leather.
|
I'll agree on the brown leather, not a fan. Would look nicer if it was darker
|
I like the brown leather. It's much nicer than the light beige that they used to have on the early 3.0Rs
|
Maybe I need to see it in the flesh, but that looks like a terracotta to me, not brown. What ever happened to good old black?? I'd still love one though.
