BRANT Anti Hijacking

Hi Guys,

Ive PM some members but no response. I am wanting to disable the anti hijacking mode as it is annoying when picking people up and so on. Is it possible to do this myself or should i ask subaru to do this for me? if DIY is possible can someone tell me the steps. I have read the manual but no luck how to turn it off

It tells you how in there..... Mad if you do tho you'll be glad of it if someone jacks ur car. a little inconvenience is a small price to pay

I'm also pretty confident that if ur car is stolen and ur insurance company finds out u have disabled an alarm feature ur cover will be worthless.

OK i read the manual 3 times now but i still cant see where the instructions on how to turn the anti hijacking off. Unless i turn it to manual mode? Apologies for the inconvienance and blindness

Don't disable it... its like putting on a condom before rooting a slut.
It is worth the little bit of extra time and effort once someone tries
to pronounce you pregnant... err... hijacked.
:)

ok maybe i should have asked this question. Is it possible to turn off the Anti Hijacking without disabling the whole Brant system?

Even if someone did know how to (and im sure someone on here does) its not really public forum material. That said, you can put it in Valet mode, which the next 10 goes doesnt require a pin, otherwise subaru would be the go.

Do you not wear a seat belt?

When you are picking people up, usually they will get in some door other than the drivers door (because that seat is occupied by you). So when they open their door, and you don't have your seat belt on, the Brant thinks you are being attacked. In saying that, you may have a faulty sensor if you are wearing your seat belt and the Brant is recognizing that you aren't.
