MY99 STI Type R 2 Door?

I am going to NZ in a few months for a year or so and was planning to pick up a car over there!
I was just wondering how much one of these would be worth over here?
Personally imported of course!
Cheers

bugger all

problem is, unless you live there for 12 months or more, and own it, you can't do a personal import, which is the only way you will get one in..

anyone actually got one on here?

nope, theres a couple that have been dodgily complied in aus but not many..

you can probably snap on up for 10-15k in NZ, they get everything cheap there..

bastards

About three years ago I noticed a Version 4 STi type R for sale in a dealer in Christchurch for 18K. That was at a used car dealer, and prices would have significantly dropped since then.

I have been looking in the new zealand autotrader and have seen a couple of them on there for around 15k , every second wrx says STI aswell but I have my doubts.
I have a couple of queries though.
Are all 2 doors STI?
And how do I make sure a 4 door is STI? Are they all numbered?

I'd love to import a few but I think the limit is one per person though?!
Lucky my wife is coming too.
But I was also thinking about a B4 RSK as they are around 12-16k or a VR4 2.5 twin turbo V6.

What a delema!

not all sti's are 2 doors

some are 4..

there is also STI RA varients which are 4 doors..

as for confirming if its an sti, there are a number of differences in what parts are attached, but, best way would be get the vin number and see if you can get a subaru to match up what it would be, as they usually do varients withing specific ranges of numbers...

that said in NZ, chances are they are all STI's as they don't have stupid import laws preventing them coming in
