Cost of Brant keypad system or similar
Hi all,
My sisters after a Brant keypad system or similar for her Forrie. So i just wanted to see if any members have bought a keypad system and what was it, what they paid for it with installation and where they bought and got it installed. Just trying to get info before ringing Subaru about their Brant prices. Cheers, Wayno :D |
Two words regarding brant.... DON'T BOTHER!
If you have the choice of aftermarket system or brant, defninitely go for an aftermarket. I'd say both AutoWatch and Laserline would have systems with Keypad if you really want one. Try talking to Westside Car Audio Cannington, the guys there are very good and have a good range of alarm packages etc. |
Cheers Rob,
Is that the store that has the orange bugeye with the C West kit out the front sometimes? We will go check it out this week anyway. Wayno :D
Two words regarding brant.... I could go into length about the brant keypad systems, but I'm not a novelist, bottom line is that an Autowatch keypad immobiliser will do the job.

Yup autowatch do the same with a keypad and anti hijack system etc as well.
I paid $600 installed for all options about a year ago on the evo. |
Hey bumpstop, I was looking at getting an Autowatch 446RLi installed somewhere in about 2 - 3 weeks time. What do you think of them and what's a rough price on purchase and installation?
Which Autowatch alarm has the keypad immobiliser and how much would one of these be installed? Thanks mate, PM if preferred. |
the keypad is just an option in can be added to any autowatch system to the best of my knowledge.

There are ways around the brant system so is there anything in particular that makes the autowatch system with the key pad better than the brant one?

I've also been looking at systems to replace my 10 year old alarm.
Here's a few links on systems: http://www.albertsmyaree.com.au/html/alberts_car_security.html http://www.viper.com/ShopViperProducts http://www.mongoose.com.au/vehicle-security/5-star-alarms.aspx http://www.autowatch.com.au/ My ideal system would have auto central locking upon immobilizer dis-arm to prevent door opening by anyone once the car is started. I'm not really a fan of having to enter a code everytime I want to jump in the car either. These keypads should be user selectable. ie. Only have to enter the code once I park the car in the garage overnight, or go on holidays. Maybe the Brant already has this feature, anyone car to answer ? What is definitely needed is a physical hidden kill switch. A near bulletproof solution unless your a car immobilizer/alarm guru. J |
