Default rattle gun needed!

G'day guys. well pretty big ask but does anyone have a rattle gun so i can get one bolt undone..

I have started putting my coilovers in and i got the rears in but i couldnt undo one bolt on the front, so i hit a dead end..

If anyone could help us out that would be great

Cheers

Be carefull with a rattle gun...very easy to shear a bolt.

If you cant get one easily you can try a few other things...

Soaking in WD40 and let it sit for a while.

Gently heating and allowing it to cool can loosen it.

Using a breaker bar try tightening it to 'crack' the thread and then undo it.

BIGGER breaker bar. Go to bunnings and buy a bit of pipe to put over your breaker bar. Bring it out to 1+ Meter.

Yeah mate we had every different breaker bar you could have. Because the nuts at the bottom of the strut and brakeits not easy... you cant get enough leverage

If you can wait till tonight, you can borrow mine. I fly in at 9pm, and will be home untill 5am tomorrow morning when I head out again. If you can pick up in that time, feel free.

Could try a longish extension on the end of the breaker bar to bring it further out towards the guard, altho you may need a mate to help keep it all square so it doesn't twist off the end of the nut. Use a Hex socket to help prevent rounding it.
Make sure you're turning it the right way too, righty-tighty lefty-loosy

Hey guys.. got it. My mate used a longer socket, 4mil breaker bar and it cracked. i think letting it soak in wd-40 helped. MASSIVE crack when we got it so the guys who put my old suspension either had lock tight on it or it was very very very tight

cheers

Nick

It was probably rattle gunned on instead of done by hand and torqued correctly.
