Ultimately it is your own saftey in your hands.

I do think that harnesses mounted to the rear seat belt points will struggle to get through scrutineering for events in the future though.

Didn't want to start up another thread so bit of an old bump

Also have an 06 wrx in need of a harness for track work. Looking at an RPM harness, just a basic one.

Need to know how do you actually use the harness without having the seatbelt clipped in (wont the car stall/the security engine cut kick in if I drive on track without the seatbelt clipped in?)

Thanks,

Shane.

Shane,
In regards to the brant you could disable the anti hijack but still having to enter the 4 digit code.
Im sure someone can PM you the sequence required and just remember to reactivate it once you leave the track.

It only engages on the seatbelt once you plug into the seatbelt. Since you have a harness on, you won't do that so its skids on.

That's how it worked on my old MY05.

brant system will only activate hijack mode untill u have the seatbelt cliped in and sitting in the seat, so if you dont clip the belt in, it shouldnt activate

but yeah the other option as said before is u can deactivate it through a series of button pushing.
