That's what i'm still keen on getting when i get around to it. Can get 17 x 9 and are one of the lightest on the market. Win Win.

If price of r-comps is not an issue then run 18's with light rims and soft compound
You will end up with less unsprung weight = faster track car
that and all the usual benefits of a larger diameter rim.
the 18 will get to temp faster and be better regulated especially if you are only doing sprint rounds etc

Longhurst ran his MY08 on 18's at Targa because he thought the temperatures were more consistent with the 18's over the 17's. In light of that Dean is running 18's on his MY08 at targa this week as a bit of an experiment.

I agree if money no object definately go 18's.

Enkei RC-T4s one of the lightest track rims u can buy. All of the super tourers in europe and japan race with them as well as the touring cars....

500 per tyre isnt bad for R-comps imo...

I think they will be much more than that. My 16' Dunlops are about $450 ea.

Depends on what you get, how you drive and where you drive. The Toyo 888's we run have lasted over a year. Roughly and without thinking too much it would be about 4 days Collie, 3 Barbagallo, 4 or 5 half days on the long track at RAC, couple of Autotests, hillclimb, speed dome and a few PDC's.
If you look after them and dont leave them on the car they'll last pretty long. And the Toyo's can be spun on the rim which helps get some extra life.
