Had the same question a while ago, from memory it comes in effect from when your subscription expires.

E.g. I renewed with 16 days left, had 381 days until it expired

Click on User CP at the top of the page, scroll down and click on Paid Subscriptions.
Expiry Date is the right most column.

I honestly think there should be a bit more of an incentive to join for 2yrs instead of 1yr than a 20c saving, generally it's a given you get a discount for joining for a longer term.

I.E, save $5 for joining for 18 months & $10 for joining for 2yrs otherwise why bother paying for any more than a year at a time.

i'll actually be increasing the 1 year sub a tiny bit to $30.00 and dropping the 18 month option shortly.

mind you, still cheaper then a yearly magazine subscription but much more amusing.

even still, unfortunately the supporter levels are still relatively low compared to the active members.

Yeh I did a count in another thread and I think it works out under 5% but that takes into account every registration.
