to be honest I have had about 3 cars in 5 years want to drag me (sit there with the revs up waiting for the change), all were chopped, in fact the only cars that have dragged me and chopped me have been other wrx's, I think those that know they can beat you don't really bother...

I think Pete is right on. The only times that I used to get dragged in my WRX was from other Jap cars, and after a while you learn which ones to watch out for.
It's a different story in the Evo. Every man and his dog wants a go as I think many still think it's a riced GL Lancer. I've had cars from corollas, lancers, GX imprezas through to commies and a certain porche :D

Yeah i concur with dan - the number of excels i get revving it up next to me is insane. When I had the rex, just about nobody ever tried.

I thought it was cause they like the back view of the Subi......"oooo what a nice looking boot" so on and so forth.... :D

To tell you the truth, I never get ANYONE wanting to race me....when Mandee is driving though, different story!!

Thats because they think if they win, she'll pull over and put out..

Only really had street runs on cruises, never really got people trying to run me on the street..

one of my best street hosings was a commodore tho, a brand new monaro when they'd just been released, _shat_ on him hard, perfect launch and changes,, he never tried again

I get a lot of people who give is some stick at the lights coz they just want to
see me dump it. Mostly young guys with mates in the car who know they stand
no chance.

I did have one guy in his SS get the revs up and try to give me a go on a
very rainy day. Needless to say I was across the intersection while he went
sideways. I have no idea what he was thinking :confused:

I have noticed that when I pass a V8 driver, they nearly always feel the urge
to speed up. I expect coz of the sticker on my back window
which says 'Only cheap wine comes in 5 litres' :D
