AJAYJAY 13-01-2010 11:03 PM

Gold ftw, it will stand out so well

mr_psi 13-01-2010 11:09 PM

gold is overdone! def gun metal

JDM_STYLE 13-01-2010 11:10 PM

Gunmetal Gav but don't go the cheap rims if your planning on hammering
this thing please. :D

muggz 13-01-2010 11:14 PM

I may be a tad biased but gold on silver ftw...

To give you an idea:

The Rota's are okay, not gonna lash out for Advans or the like, plus these don't cause any scrubbing issues.

Looks like gunmetal's in front!!

Mister Two 13-01-2010 11:26 PM

gun metal without a doubt.

smerm07 13-01-2010 11:28 PM

gun metal all the way

EXPLICIT 13-01-2010 11:37 PM

if you're going rota's you can buy two sets so you have spares when they BREAK!!! :D

SweLLy 13-01-2010 11:40 PM

gun metal wins!!
if you're going rota's you can buy two sets so you have spares when they BREAK!!! :D
Don't be like that :)

I have the OEM gold Sti rims for the nasty driving stuff!!

BN01 13-01-2010 11:58 PM

Rotas are fine for street use. Keep them away from the track though.

Makoto 14-01-2010 12:04 AM

definitely gun metal....just like my BBS..

westoz 14-01-2010 12:31 AM

Gun metal, no question.

Gold rims on a silver car is a bit like: blue & green - never to be seen :icon_puke:icon_oak::puke:

PRODIGY 14-01-2010 01:38 AM

Gunmetal for sure.

jesstamic 14-01-2010 03:17 AM

Agreeing with the majority here and going gunmetal.
There wouldnt be much contrast with the silver and gold and make the overall effect of the car quite flat.

22B-Andy 14-01-2010 07:45 AM

oooooh, i see your dilema!! tough one ehh. I think i'd have to go gun metal if it was me.
ps. if you need a mechanic, i live close :)

Have these wheels snapped or something? Link??

Kato 14-01-2010 10:03 AM
Have these wheels snapped or something? Link??
Yup, there are a few internet snaps of china rims snapped at the hubs.

easytiger 14-01-2010 10:23 AM

These pics have done the rounds for a while now:
I'm not commenting on the quality as i have not experienced rota's myself
A few mates have them and have no complaints for street use

mr_psi 14-01-2010 10:32 AM

apparently the qaulity of rota has increased recently.

RUSSGT 14-01-2010 10:52 AM

Wow! That is incredible! very scary!

low rider 14-01-2010 10:59 AM

alot of the evo's are running the rota's without any dilemma's so the quality has probably been improved

Tommosaurus 14-01-2010 11:32 AM

Please excuse the dodgy photoshop. Just a rough copy to give you an idea.

Tom (MY00 WRX) 14-01-2010 11:55 AM

Gunmetal For Sure!

ImPreSiV 14-01-2010 12:54 PM

Gold on silver is SHIT. Worst colour combination I can think of. Saying that tho, it really only applies for the crappy gold the STI wheels come in. Muggz old car up there, and those rims are actually a decent colour, and look pretty good.

Still, I choose gunmetal.

sMY00n 14-01-2010 01:53 PM

gun metal for sure
black and silver is awesome they go well

but gold and silver is like red and pink DONT DO IT

jessw 15-01-2010 12:08 AM

gunmetal for sure, a lot more eyecatching :)

tiddy 15-01-2010 12:14 AM

i think im going to get my gold rims on my silver gc8 sprayed gunmetal :)

meatbag 15-01-2010 12:52 AM

+ 1 for gunmetal.

blurex 08-02-2010 02:29 PM

Both colours look great on your car! But i think the gun metal rims look hot!!!!

You need to keep up with the times, Gav doesn't need new rims for
this car anymore as he's selling it due to buying a V 6 STi and already
buying gunmetal rims for it. :D
