Differences between 2002 Subaru liberties?..

Hey all..

I have a pretty noobie question but would help me a lot!
Basically I just purchased a 2002 Subaru liberty at auctions.. And it was advertised as a 2002 heritage 2.5 litre model etc. After looking at it in the flesh and being excited about it all. Bid and won. All was happy. Now in retrospect looking back at it, I'm having questions if it actually is a heritage model. And worrying even more about the size of the engine, if it's even the 2.5 litre model...
Is there any tell tale obvious visual differences between the various 2002 liberty models? I'm quite noobie with cars, so am not going to know much differences by looking at engine bay/ unless someone can hopefulu point me in right direction?
The differences I've noticed looking back is it doesn't have leather seats, doesn't have leather steering wheel, doesn't have heritage badge on back? Doesn't have wood grain interior highlights..

I'm aware I might be freaking out for no reason.. But thought I might check with the experts!

Thanks so much for any help..

Also it's a 5speed manual. I'm not sure if that makes a difference, but i have a feeling tge heritage model only comes in automatic (the write up in the advert said it was an automatic, except when you sat in it it's plainly a manual..)

Thanks again!

I can't post up pics as i'm not at home and on my phone..
Also don't have the vin number on me, is on the purchase details at home..
Noteably I haven't paid for it in full yet, just put deposit down.. But is that a pretty much dead give away with the manual?
Also what are the obvious differences between the gx models and the rx? Other than 2.0 litre compared to 2.5litre..

Thanks

i dont know of any australian delivered 2.0 litre liberties other than the RS.

otherwise it would be a 2.2 litre or 2.5.

check out www.redbook.com.au that may help you out.

afaik the differences between GX and RX are both engine size and interior features such as seats, climate control, cd player etc.

may also want to jump on www.rslibertyclub.org as there is lots of information regarding the earlier generation liberty's.

* GX lib has no trimmings such as side skirt "sports pack", steel rims with hub caps, normally no spoiler, 2.0ltr, SOHC
* RX has different center console, fairly sure it includes climate control. Tarted up exterior, 2.5ltr (should be stamped on the block some place). DOCH if I'm not mistaken
* heritage is essentially an RX auto with leather
* b4, well, its a b4

2002 I think will have it as a Rev D which also has the "face lift" front. Bonnet and headlights are slightly different.

Some places you might get a bit of extra info on Libs
www.subyclub.com - anything
www.ozliberty.com - gen3 and gen2 heavy
club.liberty.asn.au (i think) - gen4 heavy
and to a less extent for the gen3 www.rslibertyclub.org/fourms (mostly RS's)

Happy to be corrected, not 100% on all of the above

Sorry but it sounds like a GX.
