Red face 2011 WRX Hatch - Advice wanted

Hi all,

Planning on picking up a 2011 WRX Hatch later this year / early next. Will most probably go white. Anyway, I have a couple of questions:

1. How long after picking it up should I wait before modding the exhaust and getting a custom tune?
2. How much $$$ should I keep up my sleeve for this? (Am thinking s/steel TBE)
3. Where are the best places in Perth (preferably northern suburbs) for this kind of work?
4. She seems to be riding a little high in the press photos I've seen thus far....would changing to 'low' (not super low) springs screw up the handling dynamics?

P.s. I need to check compatability, but am hoping my current 18" s (Black Tenzo GF7's) will fit on the WRX. If any one has some spare time and photoshop skills, a chop would be most appreciated.

Thanks, Brad.

1. The day after you pick it up...but you need to do exhaust + tune at the same time
2. Exhaust - anything from $1200 to $2500...do a search on this forum
3. Do a search...eg places like Maximum Motorsport an All Star Garage...both in Malaga
4. Talk to Wheels World in Osborne Park about suspension

I have used a 3" TurboXS TBE and Verso tune from ASG and am very happy. You should be able to get the TurboXS delivered for $1299 (with an extra resonator if you want it a little less noisy, or $100 less otherwise).

Hopefully the exhaust is the same on the my11.

^ +1 on the TurboXS exhaust, couldn't be happier! I am also waiting on bits to arrive so i can bang it into ASG to get tuned (bigger turbo and cooler)

They have quoted me $1100 to tune it so for about $2400 you should see some good results!

Sweet. Thanks Guys.

Ok, I'll short list the Turbo XS exhaust and confirm compatability once the 2011 model hits the streets. Provided the sound is pure boxer rumble I don't care how noisy it is!

$2400 for the zorst and tune is better than I was expecting so will leave me with some coin for a few other bits and pieces like springs and swaybars.

Just a quick one on the Turbo XS TBE, I have one fitted to my car and am about to have it modified as it hangs a little low in the middle and it scrapes on my driveway (which is pretty steep). I have had mine for about 2 years so not sure if they have changed the design at all... otherwise it is pretty good

I think I'm leaning towards Red now?

I don't think my Lenso's will suit though.... =( Not to worry.

Don't buy crap/cheap and heavy rims, light and quality jap rims
can be had from as little as $1500!

For example Enkei's.
