Performance Machanic
Hi there
I am having some problems with my performance machanic and was wondering who is the best for a rex, work wise and price wise. I will be getting ECU, turbo, fm etc done and i want a good job. Also who remaps the standard comp for a 99 rex? Thanks :D |

As for remapping ecu, can't be done here in WA as there is no agent with the software (yet). |
i have a feeling this is going to turn into a workshop pryde thread!
i cast the first stone into my house made of glass, Maximum Motorsports in Malaga 92497444 okay, just because i have a mms hat, business shirt, collar shirt and a winter jacket doesn't make me a mms lacky! well, maybe just a well dressed lacky! no seriously, all the big players in the game should help you out, rms, wok, rt and so on....moral being, treat the relationship with your mechanic(s) as you would any other serious relationship, wham bam works, but candle lit dinners followed by a2m works better! good hunting! |
I have been speaking to rms and they seem to know there rex's. I know that is what they specialise in. I am new to the game with the rex so you have to be more to the point as i don't know all the abreviations yet. What is wok and rt???
I have owed a rx7 for ages and rotormotion was the only place i went. This isn't a "workshop pryde thread" LOL. I just want advice from the guys who have done work to they pride and Joy |
Speedworks - wok
RT - Race Torque RMS did my engine rebuild/conversion and also my transmission conversion I have nothing but +ve opinion of the work Go with someone you are comfortable with and build a relationship with them You can still shop around. Some workshops may be better at somethings than the others |
Cheers mate

Hey buddy welcome, it's kinda flavor of the month, but the workshops themselves actually seem to go through stages. Maybe at times business is good so they're not as interested in yours, who knows.
Like most I've dealt with nearly all of them over the years. And all of them have both impressed & disappointed me on occasions. The only two I'd consider tho for any substantial modifications, both on price & expertise are MMS (maximum motorsport) or RMS (Revlimit motorsport). |
as with all products, shop around until you are comfortable with your purchase
