Default K&N Pod Filter

Hi Guys,
i got myself a 2006 subaru impreza rs for my l's and i was thinking of adding a K&N Pod Filter so it can sound a bit better. I know there one of the more expensive pod filters so i thought they should be pretty good, does anyone have any experience with these? is it worth it? or should i look at something else?

any information will be great.
cheers.

AFm on the gd imprezas is more resilient. Nothing wrong with the k&n just make sure it's not over oiled. Alternatively measure the mount to the afm and see what size it is as you'll need an adaptor anyway. If it's the same as wrx finding an adaptor plate will be easy and you can then mount any filter of you choice. Will definitely notice an intake noise increase.

Good luck.

I'd save your money on a RS.

If you want noise, smash a cat back exhaust on. But given you are on your L's, I'd leave the car as stock as can be until you are off your P's to avoid the attention of the Popo.

Why wait until you are off your p's?

Fair enough then i didn't get a wrx until i had my p's for a year and i wasn't interested in any of the newer models so yeah. Good luck with getting your license and you will not be disappointed when you do get a wrx!
