is there much difference if u get a front mount with that combo? any idea on the power increase?

not much power increase if any, only more lag! at that sized turbo, a top mount flows more than enough air and will not be your restriction.

its just a daily driven car, not looking for large horse power but something extra than what it is. i would have done turbo and injectors e.t.c all at once but it does come down to time and $$$$.

add injectors and turbo, you'll be looking at 190-200 kw atw. At least you're heading in the right direction, good choice of mods so far. Get the suspension and braking sorted and you'll have a very slick daily.

if u went from a front mount to the largest top mount that will fit a gc8, the GD sti i think u guys said? being that the flow wouldnt change would u need a retune?

You should get a retune. There will be less lag. so you'll have more boost down the lower end of the rev range. Need to get it tuned to suit.

I would get one. The flow will change, ie more flow down low due to less piping on a top mount in comparison to a front mount. So although flow rates won't change all that much, where in the rpm range it flows will...if that makes sense.
