I dislike number plates put like that dont see the point at all.. And imo even if it does obstruct a FMIC it wont have a huge effect on the street.. And on the track u remove the plate in anycase.. |
yep thats true
but i dont have a front mount but anyway i like it and on the track quicker to take off too |
oh and if i wanted to move the number plate more so its out of the way i just make up a new bracket
|
I think your bonnet has a dent in it.
|
If you insist on having an offset number plate I would recommend-
removing the fog lights and putting the number plate on the passengers side, and run a cold air duct from the driver's side fog light surround up to the airbox where the resonator usually connects. |
lol i know my bonnet has a dent in it actuly more than one
yea but then i have to cut up the bumper |
Dislike... And as Tino said it's pointless (especially being that you don't have a FMIC). But each to there own I guess, if you like it, then that should be all that matters!
|
May I suggest that judging by the dents in your bonnet and the lack of headlights you have slightly more urgent cosmetic enhancements to consider before a custom, radical and hip new number plate position?
Oh, and the Impreza is the beautiful princess of the AWD kingdom, her beauty comes from her symmetry and as such the number plate should always be mounted in the centre. The Evo is the evil, disfigured dark knight of the AWD kingdom and although powerful he is only made more ferocious by his wild looks, hence the vortex generators, aggressive eyes and of course his offset number plate.....don't taint the princesses good looks!! ;) |
Buy an Evo and stop trying so hard.
Brent. :) |
So much hate, if you like the look go for it. I have offset plates on 2 of my cars.
|
Any reason other than looks?
Don't believe the myth that putting your plate on the drivers side will help you with speed cameras. Also since there are metal edges of your plate hanging outside the car, I would expect a talking to from your friendly police officer. |

Five minute paintless dent job :D |
Pointless mod is pointless.
|
It seems no one here really likes it.
But I just wanna say you have clearly put a lot of effort into it & from the picture it looks like it is done well & not a tacky throw together. (yes I know my own plate has been held on by cable ties for a while) But if you like the look & it is what you want then that is all that matters. You are never going to please everyone. |

[/QUOTE] hahahha |
^^^ oh snap, how did I miss that comment! 10points!!!!
|
Not for me personally, i think as the bumper curves away it seems out of place.
But if you like it, which you obviously do otherwise you wouldnt have given the effort, then good on you. If everyone designed there cars the same or to how other people liked it, then everyones cars would look the same, and there would be no point :D |
Pisstake right?
