Yeh, my wallet had my id/addy and yes, my front door keys.

All house locks have been changed, Got my laptop being replaced though (4k worth) through the company i bought it from for only a 220$ excess.
Its only a matter of time until they get caught, left prints all over the house and car, aswell as dna in one of the stolen cruisers -.- lol.

My loan is for 20k, and my cars insured for 15k, id be at a 5k net loss if i sold it.. so repairs..and soldier on. The sticker, "once was lost, but now am found" comes to mind haha..

Its a shame, but hell, shit happens.

Onwards and upwards.
All good now mate, like you said, onwards and upwards.. and you were probably better not being woken by them, blood is impossible to get out of boot lining

Still no word, although with all these public holidays what are you to expect. In regards to the car being financed, should it be deemed a write off, will they pay myself or the financer?

If the car is wrote off, im left in 5k debt and no car.. Anyone know what generally happens here?

the money will be paid to the bank, but the bank usually wants the entire loan closed out, as no doubt, the car is encoumbered in the loan (security) so you have to come up with the 5k asap.

if its a secured loan they pay off the bank first then you the remaining.. if its just a personal unsecured loan then they pay you out directly..

Well now, thats a bummer. So, lets just pray its returned without write off then =) Atleast then i can sell it and restart.. Depending on how she feels, now some dirty men have been all up inside her.

Next time you get shortfall insurance

Other than that, as above. Bank owns your car until every cent is paid. If you have no car, then they will want their money ASAP by other means. Maybe they will accomodate your situation and maybe waive some fees on establishing another loan.

Then again, they are a bank and will no doubt kick you while you are down.

Yep, go figure. Well, waiting game has become a little tedious now, but as they say, good things come to those who wait. Shortfall is definetly something i considered, but hey, "Pfft, won't happen to me"... Ahh, lesson learnt. When it comes to financial matters, expect the unexpected lol.

Been there, done that. Had a commonwhore stolen mid last yr. Underinsured (not by alot). Had the rims listed, but failed to realise they were only insured if someone knicked them, not on top of the insured amount.

To make matters worse, I was shopping around for insurance and Shannons offered to insure it for 4k more for the same premium, I was just too slow jumping ship.
