Anybody know about this and what they mean ????

presume just like nissan dropped the "skyline" tag from the R35 GTR

Rather than there current Subaru Impreza WRX and Subaru Impreza WRX STI

If you have a look on the Subaru Australia website, it already lists them as WRX and WRX STI, with nary a mention of Impreza...

dropping the impreza name was only a matter of time, likewise the 'wrx' name will likley soon be dropped in favour of 'gt'

Not read the article but the current models have already dropped the Impreza name. WRX and WRX STI are the official names.
